about

The Dying Of The Light is a concept album about a post-apocalyptic world - how would it feel to be the last person alive? It aims to portray themes of isolation, melancholy, natural beauty, and psychological illness amongst others. Largely heavy rhythms, ambient noise, processed vocals and melancholic synthesisers, it is an electronic attempt to transport the listener to the world in which it is set for its duration.
Many months in creation and years in the conceptualisation, this has been my most involved production to date. I have been particularly fascinated by the way that natural beauty and silence play against the bustle of human life - that it's always there, just under the surface, and in a nihilistic, post apocalyptic world, that which was under the surface of our experience at all times would be all that was left.
